What thicknesses of laminating do you use?

We use 5mm thickness for 8.5×11 pages. 8.5×14 and 11×17 laminations are completed in 3mm thickness. We can laminated up to 11×17 and help make arrangements for larger files as well.

How long will my order take?

It depends on our queue. Most orders completed within one business day; sometimes even while you wait. Please ask an imaging specialist for time estimations on your order. For an accurate quote, we’ll need to see the order in its entirety.

Can you laminate larger than 11×17?

Yes, we can! Please see our poster printing section for sizes, pricing and time frames for completion.

Do you have “rush” services if I need my order right away?

Orders are processed within the order that they are received. If you have a time sensitive request, please speak directly to an imaging specialist at your chosen location for queue times.

How long will my large format printing take?

Our turnaround time is generally 5-7 business days for processing. If your order is time sensitive, please contact our imaging centres for a more accurate time quote.

Do you do poster setup?

Yes, we can! Please ask for a quote.

What file formats do you accept?

PDF files are required for all large format printing.

What size and resolution do my files need to be?

All files must be a minimum of 300DPI. Files need to be the size in which they’re going to print to avoid pixelation, blurriness and other quality concerns.
Business Cards

How long will my cards take?

Once a proof has been approved by the customer, standard business cards are completed within 1-3 business days, depending on the amount requested. Full bleed business cards are processed differently and require approximately 5-7 business days.

What kind of files can I upload?

If you’ve already created a business card, a high resolution, flattened/rasterized JPG (300-600dpi) is best for the highest possible print quality when working with our layout templates. We can also work with a PDF, but be aware there could be quality loss in the conversion process.

How do I need to set up my files up for printing?

Business cards should be set up to be 3.5” x 2” in size and saved either as a JPG or PDF and saved as one per page, rather than tiled with many. This works best with our processing template. Any cards with a full bleed design (colours, patterns or images that touch any edge of the card) must be designed with an additional cutting gutter of a quarter inch on all four sides, making the card 3.75” x 2.25” in size. This will allow us to cleanly cut the cards for a more polished, true full bleed print

Can you design a card for me?

Yes, we can! We can do basic setups. However, we’re not graphic designers and ask that customers have a sketch or general layout in mind, as well as provide logos and/or non-copyright owned images for use. Having your text ready to go (aka what you want to say) in the body on an email or in a text document would also be beneficial.

For legal reasons, please make sure that all images being used are your own or are being used with written consent from the original artist/photographer/author. We do have a limited pool of royalty free images to draw from, should you not have an image or logo already. Design work is billed a minimum of $5 at a rate of $60 per hour. The first two proofs are free of charge with your order. Continued proofs are $5 each.

Do you make postcards?

Yes! Please ask for a quote on your postcard order.

Will you set up my cards or invitations?

Yes, we can! Please ask for a quote on setup.

What file formats can I provide if I do my own setup?

Tiff, jpeg or pdf files are all welcome.

What size and resolution do my files need to be?

300-600DPI resolution is best for optimum printing quality. Depending on the size of your card and your desired layout, image sizes will vary. However, bigger is always better.

Do I need to do any special setup?

Not at all! Just supply us with the images and text, and we can do the rest!

Can you print other card sizes than what’s listed?

Yes! Please ask for a quote.

I’ve made my own cards. Can you print those?

Absolutely! Please make sure that you’ve saved your card as a high resolution JPG, TIFF or PDF file.
Calendars

Will there be a cover on my 8.5×11 calendar? (if yes, do they need another image?)

The calendar comes with the default cover with the year on it. If you would like an image on the cover, please supply the high resolution image you’d like to use. It’s an additional 49¢ to add the extra photo.

What is the finished size of the calendar?

The pages that go into your calendar are 8.5”x11”, so the finished size when hanging on a wall is approximately 11”x17”

What do I have to supply you?

Just your photos! We take care of the rest. High resolution (300-600 DPI) JPG, PNG and TIFF file types are preferred. We can work with PDFs, though please be aware that there may be some quality loss during the conversion process to our template.

I have software that lets me format my own custom calendar. Can you print that?

Yes. If you are able to save a pdf version of your calendar we would be happy to print it for you (prices may vary according to your setup). Please be sure to leave a quarter inch gutter on all four sides of the page as processing will leave that area blank.

Do I have to crop my photos?

We automatically crop your photos so they fit. You can crop them in advance so they fit an 8.5”x11” or we can perform custom cropping or editing for an additional fee.

I have hard copy photos, can they be used?

Yes, they can! Due to the additional labour involved, it’s 49¢ per image that we must scan in.

I’d like to have more than one picture per page, is that possible?

Yes! We have templates to support 1, 2 and 3 photos on a page. We can also further customize the page, though an additional fee for editing will be applied.

What image resolution should I supply my photos at?

300-600dpi works best. Lower resolutions may look fantastic on a computer screen, but printing them can result in a bad quality, pixelated or blurry image.
