Current opportunities

Furniture Buyer - Victoria F/T

What you will do:

  • Perform daily buying of furniture inventory, including the issuing of Purchase Orders and managing of Purchase Order confirmations
  • Follow-up and act on daily unconfirmed Purchase Orders
  • Updating Purchase Order ETA’s on all orders throughout the procurement cycle
  • Maintaining item min / max levels in the ERP for purposes of managing optimal commercial and retail furniture inventory levels of in-stock products
  • Managing assortment of in-stock furniture items based on sales requirements and supplier availability
  • Follow up on daily furniture order deficiencies for those that require replacement product and managing the procurement of replacement product from suppliers
  • Managing vendor credits for damaged product and / or product warranties
  • Knowledge of furniture order entry is essential in order to provide back-up coverage when necessary
  • Managing the HappyFox ticketing system to ensure all inquiries are answered or assigned to the appropriate team member and managing the back end of HappyFox
  • Managing the back end of JotForm (the follow up report program for the installers)
  • Taking care of any service requests that come in from CET
  • General item inquiries from stores and stationery Sales Reps
  • Following up with Reps to confirm order details prior to issuing a PO or when a vendor reaches out with questions on a PO
  • Coordinate when PO’s will arrive for orders with multiple vendors so that they arrive together
  • Follow up with vendors on behalf of reps when they have questions on their orders
  • Assisting with tracking the shipment of products that are past due
  • Assisting Accounting with inquiries as to why accounts may be overdue
  • Embrace and practice the Monk Office ECO initiatives and programs
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures
  • Dress and conduct oneself in a professional and respectful manner
  • Attend and participate in company committees and meetings, including training programs, and product knowledge

In this role, duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising day to day operations in-store and acting in the Store Leader’s capacity in their absence
