Delivery Driver

The focus of this role is to provide an amazing customer experience by delivering orders on time and efficiently. Please note this is a Relief Driver position. Hours will be on a part-time basis.

What you will do:

  • Deliver product to customers
  • Deliver store replenishment stock to our Greater Victoria stores
  • Promote Monk Office products, sales and events
  • Provide an excellent customer experience
  • General warehouse duties
  • Recycling management (Monk recycles over 90% of its waste!)

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract
  • Air Brake ticket an asset

Stationary Order Picker

The Stationery Order Picker is accountable for filling customers’ orders in a timely and accurate manner for delivery from the Monk Distribution Centre. This is a full-time position.

What you will do:

  • Prints and sorts pick tickets
  • Works independently to accurately pick customers’ orders by pulling inventory from shelves and bin locations and delivering orders to the shipping area
  • Ensures that shelves and bin locations are kept clean, neat and organized
  • Reports inventory discrepancies
  • Organizes orders and wraps skids in preparation for up-island deliveries
  • Willing to support co-workers to achieve common goals

What you will bring:

Education:

  • High School certificate

Skills:

  • Good physical strength and stamina
  • Proven track record of attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Experience:

  • Previous warehousing experience would be an asset, but not required

Freight Delivery Driver

The focus of this role is to deliver skids of product to our up-island delivery drivers and stores on time and efficiently.

What you will do (but not limited to):

  • Load vehicles and locations with care to prevent damage to product
  • Work an average of 8hr shift which begins at 3:30 A.M. (depending on delivery size, road and traffic conditions your shift may vary in length)
  • Deliver store product and stock to our Duncan and Courtenay stores/locations
  • Deliver skids of customer orders to our up-island drivers (Nanaimo and Courtenay)
  • Provide an excellent customer experience
  • Deliver orders to customers
  • Schedule maintenance for truck(s) as required
  • Keep the Monk delivery truck(s) clean and organized
  • Recycling management (Monk recycles over 90% of its waste!)
