Technology Delivery Driver - Victoria F/T

The role of the Technology Delivery Driver is to load, deliver and install technology products (ie copiers and printers) safely and efficiently. To assist the Service Team with general warehouse duties, technology recycling and vehicle management. To assist the Service Technicians with the installation of technology products when required. To assist our furniture and office products delivery team when required.

What you will do:

  • Loads vehicles with care to prevent damage to product
  • Delivers and installs technology products as scheduled by the Service Team
  • Ensure the customer’s space is left in better condition than how it was found
  • Meets customers’ expectations to provide an amazing customer experience
  • Assists in the warehousing functions of good housekeeping, storing, receiving as requested by the Service Team
  • Performs minor maintenance on delivery trucks when required. Schedules maintenance for trucks as required
  • Keeps the Monk delivery truck(s) clean and organized
  • Communicates with the appropriate Account Rep both verbally and through Follow Up Forms when deficiencies are discovered during an install
  • Offers operational, procedural, product, and installation training to various swampers and helpers as required
  • Assist in the delivery of furniture and office products when required

 What you will bring:

  • Minimum 2 years and installation experience
  • Above average oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent driving record including experience on 5 ton vehicles
  • Knowledge of technology product lines an asset

Monk Office Technologies Coordinator - Victoria F/T

Information Technology Leader

Purpose of Position:  To ensure the optimum maintenance and support of all aspects of Monk Office computing hardware and software including head office systems, retail POS systems, network infrastructure and the internal telephone system. To ensure all internal customers have a professional, timely and pleasant experience when they rely on the services of the Information Systems Team. The Information Systems Leader will identify opportunities for system security and efficiencies.  Success in this role will result in well maintained Monk Office systems and infrastructure, while providing a high degree of internal customer satisfaction through exceptional leadership.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the IT Team responsible for the day-to-day operations, support and maintenance of the Monk Office network system and infrastructure by training and coaching, communicating job expectations and appraising performance
  • Ensuring optimal support to team member needs relating to computer and/or software use and configuration
  • Running system jobs such as backups and end-of-day processes
  • Ensuring the maintenance and support of the companies Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system
  • Managing the telephone system for all Monk Office locations
  • Ensuring timely hardware, software and telephone system set up and training for new hires and office moves
  • Providing ongoing education and upgrading of computer skills to the IT Team
  • Ensure infrastructure availability meets committed service levels; minimize the impact of incidents by ensuring appropriate support response times
  • Identify and share opportunities to better service our systems and participate in solutions
  • On-call weekend and evening work required

Excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software systems and network administration and installation. SQL knowledge is beneficial. Self-starter, motivated and with proven problem-solving abilities, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. An avid learner committed to keeping up to date with the latest technologies.

Experience:  5+ years leadership experience in a computer systems environment managing all aspects of infrastructure operations.

Director of Commercial Sales

Purpose of Position:  To lead, inspire and manage the commercial, furniture and inside Sales Teams in providing goods and services to existing customers while actively identifying new customer opportunities. To lead the company in the attainment of aggressive sales/revenue levels and gross profit dollars. To ensure adherence and implementation to the Monk brand position as it relates to product pricing, assortment and an amazing customer experience.  To liaise with Procurement, Operations, Finance and Marketing to ensure a cohesive offering and approach to the market.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To recruit and develop high performing Account Managers
  • To provide training and motivation through sales meetings, seminars, one-on-one meetings, vendor presentations and sales courses
  • To ensure training includes product knowledge, time management, selling skills, customer communication and personal development
  • To ensure the Sales Teams are equipped with the skills to identify “share of office” opportunities within new and existing accounts
  • To maintain and grow customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) including sales/revenue, GP dollars, average order value, conversion rate, customer satisfaction, Account Manager and customer profitability
