Schedule: Full-time | Location: Victoria (800 Viewfield Rd.) | Salary: $90k/yr

To lead, motivate, and manage the accounting staff. To ensure the profitability and continued growth of the company at above average levels through exceptional customer service to internal and external customers and through pertinent and accurate accounting analysis and reporting. To act as a gatekeeper: checking for accuracy and economy for cash outflows; removing barriers for cash inflows.

What you will bring:

Education:

  • CPA and/or CMA designation not mandatory but extremely useful

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience with cashflow management and financial reporting
  • Experience leading a team would be beneficial

What you will do:

  • Daily, monthly and annual cashflow planning.
  • Prepare monthly financial results, with analysis.
  • General ledger entries and reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets.
  • Assist with preparation of year-end accounting.
  • Finalize monthly financial results.
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations not limited to but including bank reconciliations and infoPOS clearing.
  • GST and PST monthly remittances, EHT remittance on quarterly basis and ensure WorkSafe BC remittances are complete and paid on a quarterly basis.
  • Preparation of year end accounting and oversee annual review engagement.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting to financial institutions.
  • Provide assistance and coverage for all Finance Team positions.
