Freight Delivery Driver

Schedule: Full-time | Location(s): Victoria

The focus of this role is to deliver skids of product to our up-island delivery drivers and stores on time and efficiently.

What you will bring:

Skills:

  • A great attitude
  • Responsible, respectful and have self-motivation

Experience:

  • Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract
  • Experience with 5 ton truck an asset
  • Air Brakes ticket an asset

What you will do:

  • Load vehicles with care to prevent damage to product
  • Work an average of 8hr shift which begins at 3:30 A.M. (depending on delivery size, road and traffic conditions your shift may vary in length)
  • Deliver store product and stock to our Duncan and Courtenay stores
  • Deliver skids of customer orders to our up-island drivers (Nanaimo and Courtenay)
  • Provide an excellent customer experience
  • Deliver orders to customers
  • Schedule maintenance for truck(s) as required
  • Keep the Monk delivery truck(s) clean and organized
  • Recycling management (Monk recycles over 90% of its waste!)
