Monk in the Community

We take great pride in being helpful people in the community, because at Monk Office, we believe in making a difference. Corporately, we were proud to play a sponsorship role in the World Curling Championships, held in Victoria, March 2005 and in the Comox Valley International Air Show in August of this year. We play an ongoing role in supporting the Greater Victoria Hospitals Foundation. We support educational mentorship in the community through Junior Achievement and college and university coop programs. And we play a big role in the Mustard Seed's annual Back to School program.

Our staff are very active in volunteering. Some take their furry children (golden retrievers) on therapy visits to local schools and seniors' homes. Some are mentors and friends in Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Others coach their children's baseball, soccer and hockey teams.

We sponsor community sports teams all over the island and donate supplies and prizes to non-profit groups for special events.
